Summer Volleyball Camps at Irvine's Great Park by VolleyOC
Newport Coast Indoor Clinic Serving

At VolleyOC, we love to teach players of all skill levels how to play beach volleyball. Our Irvine camps are typically attended by players who have indoor experience and want to learn how to play competitively on the beach. Sand Volleyball scholarships are popping up all over the country and a solid introduction to the game from VolleyOC's well-trained staff can help your child earn one. Featuring curriculum and instruction by 22 year AVP professional Ed Ratledge, our Monday-Thursday camps are designed to bring out the best in your young volleyball player. The Great Park Sports Complex boasts clean, white sand, well maintained nets, and an easy drop-off location near the Soccer Stadium. Just drop off your kids and let our professional, courteous staff do the rest.

What to bring: Water bottle and snacks are advised, sunglasses are important, and sunscreen is a must!

What we do: Workouts generally begin with footwork drills to increase the athleticism of our young players. Our staff will create groups after we assess age and volleyball experience to make sure more experienced players are not encumbered by younger or newer players. We'll then spend about half of our time doing age and skill-level appropriate drills, and about half of the camp day in guided competition.

Coaches and Numbers: All of our Camps strive for an 8:1 ratio and VolleyOC camps always feature experienced, enthusiastic coaches. Most of our coaches play, or have played in college, some even play professionally. 22 year AVP professional Ed Ratledge designs the curriculum and sometimes personally instructs your children.
